Home Staging Explained! by Linda Gale on 12/01/2010 17:45:01. This post has 1 replies. Login to reply

Home staging or property presentation is all about preparing your property for sale or rental in such a way that it gives the viewers the best possible impression of the property.

The right presentation can make all the difference when it comes to selling your home. For a modest upfront investment, it will help you radically enhance your properties asking price.  Focus on the features that are key to attracting a wide range of potential buyers.  Potentially you can take the property from an average sale price to a top end sale price in just a few steps.  The general rule of thumb is if you spend 1% on your property prior to marketing you can reap at least 10-15% extra!

Why wait? Don't leave it until your property has been on the market without receiving decent offers before you stage your property.  You can ensure your home is the one your estate agent can't wait to show, and that your estate agents photographs will grab the attention of those potential buyers.

Initial consultations will determine the best value options to improve your buyer appeal. All properties can benefit from extra attention before selling. Usually initial suggestions that will have maximum effect quickly with minimum disruption to your living arrangements are discussed.

Home staging is primarily an aesthetic exercise, and our services normally focus firstly on de-personalising and de-cluttering your home making the most of what you already have. Consider changing the room/rooms layout to make the best use of space. Look at the use of colour, lighting, art and accessories.

Hope those of you who didn't know what it is, is now fully informed!
