I just spent an hour or so crafting my introduction.  When I hit submit I got an oops error.  Please tell me it's just delayed and I won't have to rewrite!

Hi Jen,

Just saw your post, I went through the same and contact Alan Kelly (the owner) about that and it was a "time out" issue, when we takes more than 20 minutes logged in but typing our profile the site log us out just like banking websites do for security, so if you hit the back button you can go back to the page where you were writting do a copy and past to a world document and log in back in w2meet again past your profile or forum whatever and  hit subimit and will work.

Alan is looking for a better way to sort that but it is also in our own benefit in case if we leave our desk while log in and someone try to use.. all that..

I hope this help, please do come back to the site it is getting very busy and more opportunities to promote your business.

Have a great weekend.

michelle

Hi Jen,

Unfortunately Michelle is correct that there is a timeout after which your session gets closed on the server. The difficulty for me is getting the balance right between the length of time and the load on the server. The more sessions that are around for a longer time, the more resources are used and the performance of this site could degrade.

That said, I have increased the timeout to 3 hours, hopefully that will be long enough to create profiles, forums posts, blog entries etc.

I'm sorry you had a wasted effort on your profile but I'm trying to improve things. I'm working right now on an autosave option which will hopefully minimise any future losses. I hope it hasn't put you off using w2meet too much.

All the best

Alan
